Il corso è mirato a raggiungere il livello pieno del B2 con argomenti e esercizi che vanno verso il livello avanzato C1 del Quadro di Riferimento Comune Europeo (CEFR), a questo livello si richiede la capacità di comprendere in dettaglio le sfumature di significato di testi complessi, siano essi argomenti concreti o astratti, incluse conversazioni autentiche prese dalla vita reale, siano esse in ambito lavorativo o su tematiche più generali.
Inoltre, Nel B2 upper intermediate il grado di accuratezza, spontaneità e fluidità rende l’interazione con i madrelingua semplice e senza sforzo, lo studente imparerà a produrre enunciati complessi (scritti ed orali) chiari e dettagliati spiegando il proprio punto di vista o mostrando di essere in grado di descrivere situazioni complesse di vita quotidiana mantenendo il focus anche sulla corretta pronuncia o intonazione interpretativa e limitandosi a commettere pochi errori grammaticali e lessicali.
Main contents of this course:
Each lesson includes grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. All these contents will be studied actively, every new topic will be immediately put into practice with active and stimulating exercises involving listening and speaking activities.
Grammar: At this level the knowledge of the main structures of grammar will be revised and consolidated, moving from a passive to an active use of the language. Moreover, you will be provided with more sophisticated grammar structures which you will be actively practicing and employing with opportunities to use your natural instinct.
Vocabulary: As an upper intermediate student you will systematically expand your vocabulary in topic-based lexical ideas such as Word building, Illnesses and injuries, Clothes and fashion, Air travel Adverbs and adverbial phrases, Weather Feelings, Verbs often confused, the body Crime and punishment, the media Business.with opportunities to put new vocabulary into practice further developing your ability to build new words by adding affixes and pronouncing new lexis correctly and confidently.
Speaking: Is a main activity in the course. You will discuss the subjects of each unit and you will practice the grammar orally. You will learn up-to-date, stimulating topics, keywords and phrases necessary to discuss a topic and practice it in more extended speaking activities such as debates and role plays in order to get you talking.
Listening and reading: are other important activities in the course, every new topic is integrated with listening and reading material taken from newspapers, magazines, websites articles, Radio interviews and shows. All the listening material has been devised so as to provide you with achievable tasks with an increasing level of challenge and you will be also exposed to longer conversations with a wide variety of authentic colloquial accents. All the reading material offer exposure to a wide variety of authentic texts types, engaging topics and challenging tasks which will help you read better.
Writing: You will practice your writing skills gaining awareness of registers and structures and fixed phrases. During the course you will periodically write descriptions, formal and informal Email, CV, A report, a story, a programme or a film review.
